The storage shelves and pans are located in front of the extractor. These shelves or pans are used to store various articles and materials. You can store materials directly on the pans, or you can have the pans configured with dividers, trays, etc. You can access the storage locations via the micro-processor controller. The button pushes and the extractor will store or retrieve the pan. The pans are delivered at an ergonomic height to the operator.

A pair of Modula Lift ML50D vertical lift modules were deployed, and now store a wide range of manufactured inventory. In total, the two Modula VLM units provide 1659 cubic feed of storage within a 308 sq ft footprint. Each VLM module is storing approximately 2400 medical instruments.

A vertical lift module (VLM) is an enclosed storage system that consists of upright stacks of trays connected by a vertical elevator. The elevator responds to commands and is capable of retrieving and delivering trays to the operator(s), resulting in a true goods-to-person pick solution.

The vertical carousel's main advantage is that it uses unused vertical space, resulting in an extremely small footprint—ideal when floor space is limited. Positioning more than one unit together, as with horizontal carousels, reduces picker wait times.

One option is to use your bookcases. Place the shelves against one wall and the boxes containing your frequently used items on top. Just make sure to leave a path in front of them so you can remove the boxes. Another option is to buy shelving specifically for your unit.
